Departure Day

We are finally ready to leave.  Yesterday was non-stop.  I worked all day at Cesar E. Chavez Elementary planning writing lessons with kindergarten teachers.  Kindergarteners now write an incredible amount and it was  a good day.

While I was doing that, Tom was getting the van serviced and many errands in preparation for the trip.

Afterward, we visited with Mom Benedict & Tommy and Sherry and kids to say good-bye.  That is never easy and we will miss them so much.

After a quick visit to my hair dresser, we met with Adam and Jen Roush who are going to be house-sitting for us for January at least.

Between snow advisories and storm warnings we are trying to sneak out this morning.

Let the fun begin!
